This example has over 20,000 k's, has a Yoshi tri slip on muffler, air filter, hi rise clip-ons, front & rear steel brake lines, & fitted with 120/70 & 190/50 tires.
First thoughts: Motor runs very smooth crisp & responsive with plenty useable power from 4k on for long multiple gear wheelies. With 20,000k's, 1st gear has a bit of a whine, but otherwise changes up & down with no need for a clutch after moving off. This example steers quick & precise, but tends to be
harder to get extreme lean angles, & wants, more effort to stop it running wide. (most likely due to the over-sized 190 low profile rear tire.)
Brakes pull up great from the double state speed limit, & is easy to put on it's nose with controllable stoppies. Rear brake works too good & chatters on heavy braking. (lowering brake peddle should fix that)
Now Im acquainted: Still not to sure if this will be another long term stunt bike. 1,000k's later, I've now fitted that 180/65 rear tire, so it turns much quicker & leans easier, now used to it. (Unlike my 996SPS it takes little more than a thought to turn tight & fast)
Wheelies are longer, stoppies are smoother & for two-up fooling it's all just as fun & easy as solo. 1st & 2nd it comes up to balance straight off the throttle, but third needs a crest or clutch to get it there, & holding it in third or short shifting up, sees near 2-Hung on that didgy Speedo on one wheel. Past balance point wheelies are safe with that touchy rear brake too.
Mods to come: 50 tooth rear sprocket, thumb activated rear brake, heaps of disposable 180s & drop protection, for those stunts that go wrong.
Watch this site for new stunts, or see it at "Gold Coast bike week" or "Raceline promotion" next event.
